Team Support & Workshops

Teams carry a lot. High workloads, organisational change, exposure to distressing material, staff absences, difficult relationships — the pressures that affect individuals don't stay individual for long. They ripple.

At Well Balanced Minds, we deliver psychologically informed workshops, training, and team interventions designed to support staff wellbeing, build resilience, and create the kind of working environment where people can actually do their best work.

All sessions are facilitated by Dr. Mark Doyle, a BPS Chartered Psychologist with extensive experience delivering team support across NHS, public sector, and private settings.

Sessions are practical, evidence-based, and tailored to the needs and context of your team.

Workshop packages begin at £400 and can be tailored to your requirements. Get in touch to discuss what would work best for your team.

Post Event Team Reflection (PETR)

When a team experiences a significant traumatic or distressing event — a serious incident, unexpected death, threatening situation, or period of sustained pressure — the impact doesn't end when the event does. Research consistently shows that structured, peer-supported reflection in the aftermath significantly reduces the risk of lasting psychological harm.

The Post Event Team Reflection (PETR) is a trauma-informed group session based on current recommended guidance from the Association for Clinical Psychology. It provides a safe, voluntary, and facilitated space for team members to process what happened, reconnect with colleagues, and begin to move forward. It is not a debrief in the traditional sense — it is psychologically informed, compassion-led, and focused on promoting hope and sustainable coping.

This session is available as a standalone response to a critical incident or as part of an ongoing team support arrangement

This session is a regular session that can be adopted to support a team who struggle with distressing material or difficulties on a regular basis and require a safe, confidential and reflective space grounded in psychological safety to be able to discuss the impact of work on wellbeing and reduce the tendency towards emotional suppression which can cause significant distress and burn out over time.
